Where do I register for Save a Sample! for Art (SASFA)? Do I have to register each time I have boxes to donate?

All participants can sign up here. 

Yes, please register each time you are looking to donate.

What materials can be donated?
​

Donations can include, but are not limited to:

-Carpet samples (loose samples
  only 12" x 12" or smaller)
-Fabric samples (memo samples
  only, no chain sets)
-Glass samples (smaller than 12" x 12")
-Tile samples (smaller than 12" x 12")
-Stone samples (smaller than 12" x 12")
-Metal samples (smaller than 12" x 12")
-Wood samples
-Laminate samples

Please DO NOT donate: Sweets catalogs, code books, binders, material boards (i.e. brick boards), or anything that could not be easily incorporated into a project.

Does Save A Sample! for Art (SASFA) provide boxes? What size are they? How many boxes and how often can I donate? What is the maximum weight for each box? How long do I have to ship out my boxes?

SASFA does not provide shipping boxes. We request firms use copy paper sized boxes (banker boxes) for their materials.

The standard copy paper box (banker box) is 12 x 10 x 15 Inches.

To allow the maximum number of firms to participate, you can register to donate 2 boxes per 45 days.

Each box should not weigh more than 35 lbs.

Once you receive the shipping labels, you have 3 days to ship your boxes. Our artisans are notified that a shipment is on the way so please make sure to get your boxes shipped in a timely manner. 

Can firms other than A&D firms donate materials?

Yes, manufacturers or representatives who wish to donate materials are welcome to participate in SASFA if they do one of the following:

- Make a donation to cover the shipping and administrative costs ($50 donation)

-"Pay it Forward" by prepaying for 10 design firms to donate materials ($250 donation. Design firms will be notified of your kind offering)
